I’m trying to do a million things all at once. Okay, maybe not a million, but it sure feels like it sometimes.
My latest project, which has taken me away from blogging regularly, is building my own webpgae. This is more time consuming than I thought it would be – mostly because I’m trying to generate a whole lot of content before I actually announce/launch the site. No one wants to look at an empty webpage.
Thanks to a quirky gift from my husband, because we are both computer nerds and tech geeks – I’m now the proud owner of my own domain name (announcement coming soon). Thank goodness for my MAC and iWeb – making design and content building easier. The only thing I’m having trouble with is coming up with some fun, witty, yet still professional pages titles. Thoughts? Even the title of this blog seems bland.
I’m hoping to have it all done over the next couple weeks, but it’s been hard to focus on it after spending all day at work staring at my computer and gearing up for my association’s great Energy Expo and Conference on May 11 & 12, 2010. Not to mention email, blogs, MPI NENY’s newsletter, updating Facebook, interacting on Twitter, and posting discussions on LinkedIn… just a little technology overload.
I can’t complain though – I love what I do, both what I am paid for and what I volunteer for. Today’s technology is great – I just need to apply some filters so I’m not overloaded.
